Porter and James Giveaway!

I am beyond excited to announce that I officially have an Etsy page to sell my jewelry I've been making! Make sure to click HERE to see the first batch of bangles and rings I've posted. Also make sure to follow my on Instagram by clicking HERE. In honor of my launch I am giving away the very 1st style of bracelet I ever made (and it just so happens to be my favorite one!) The rules are simple, follow my instagram page, repost the photo below, and tag #porterandjames

As far at the details go I decided to start doing this earlier this year when I realized that I could make bracelets for myself for cheaper than I was buying them. One thing lead to another and people at work started asking me if I could make them one. The name Porter and James is very special to me. In April as you guys know from this post I did my grandfather passed away. I took it really hard. My pa's name is James and I have always loved that name. I wanted to use him name because he was always so encouraging to me to follow my dreams and do whatever made me happy. So that's where the "James" came from. "Porter" is also a family name from my grandmothers side of the family. When I was playing around with names and writing things down that one just seemed to fit! Once I decided the name I then figured I needed a logo. Luckily I know a super talented girl (visit her Etsy page HERE) who I asked if she could hand draw one for me and she did! Thanks so much Laura. When the logo was done it was time to make this happen publicly.

This has been so much fun for me and a great creative outlet after working in the world of financials all day. It's nice to come home and have this hobby that luckily other people like. I just finished my first bridesmaids order which was a blast! Below are some examples of what's on my Etsy page. You can also email me at mysouthernfriedfashion@gmail.com if you would like a special order. Thanks to everyone for the love and support on this fun little hobby/journey!

Mad Plaid

I along with every other girl in the world love a good plaid shirt for fall. Jcrew factory has really good button ups and you don't have to break your bank to get one! And of course booties for fall are a must have and these BP booties from Nordstrom are under $100! You can't beat that! I can't believe I'm going to say this but let the cooler weather roll in so I can pull out some of these items!

Fall Look for the Hubs

If you know my husband you will know that he dresses well, and no it's not because of me. I got lucky with him for many reasons but, I love the fact that he knows how to dress himself and knows what looks good on him. This look is definitely a regular Ryan outfit!

Madewell Fall Looks

I am so excited that Nashville will finally be getting a Madewell! Their grand opening is tomorrow in the Green Hills mall. This is an awesome store for really great basics: tshirts, tanks, JEANS, dresses, boots. Everything is definitely more plane jane but are great pieces to mix in with your wardrobe. These are some of my favorites for fall.

Fav looks for NYFW

I literally cannot wait for Spring clothing after watching all the runway shows last weekend! There were so many pretty looks and some soft colors yet bold bright pops of color and print! Above are some of my favorite looks. I would have to say Rebecca Minkoff yet again pulled off the perfect everyday look. And no doubt Kate Spades new handbags to look like garden tools were so fun! And Saunder and Zimmerman just blew me away with their soft looks and flowing dresses. Here's to hoping I am in NYC in the Spring for the next Fashion Week!

Dark Fall Attire

I dont know if it was the no shopping in August (oops I cheated once twice) or just the fact that I love fall clothes, but the day the calendar turned to September I was right there to make some purchases! Leather  or in my case pleather was top of my mind to add to my wardrobe. I have searched everywhere for leggings that didn't look cheap and that weren't too riskay. Needless to say these leggings from Nordstrom were so comfortable and fit like a glove! I also have been searching for the perfect black bootie and I snagged these Halogen booties from Nordstrom for $55! I've recently seen adds for Sheinside everywhere. I took a risk and decided to purchase the leather sleeved wrap sweater. It still hasn't come in yet but I'll do a follow up post on that one. And last but not least I cant miss a 50% off Loft sale. This grey sweater was an item I wore immediately after buying-so comfortable and so cute!

Dreaming of NYFW

While I may not be traveling to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week like my blogger idols (Happily GreyPink PeoniesHouse of HarperGal Meets Glam) I can still vicariously live through there blogs and pretend I am. These next couple posts are going to be what I would wear to NYFW. This outfit is my go to travel attire- black on black on black and of course a little tan. I never travel without a cardigan because I'm always cold and this one just looked so cozy! This week I've upped my picks and pretended money was no option-ha! Enjoy and safe travels to everyone heading to NYC!
